The UPCA Welfare Fund provides financial support to eligible UPCA members who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship. The fund aims to help members continue their psychotherapy and counselling training or professional development during difficult circumstances by contributing towards essential training-related costs.
The Welfare Fund reflects UPCA’s commitment to supporting its members and promoting equality of opportunity throughout their professional journey.
Who can apply?
The UPCA Welfare Fund is available to eligible:
- Students and Trainee Members experiencing financial hardship who are currently enrolled on a UPCA approved course.
- UPCA Clinical members experiencing financial hardship.
Each application is considered individually, taking into account the applicant’s circumstances and the impact that financial hardship may have on their training or professional practice.
What can the Welfare Fund help with?
The Welfare Fund may be able to contribute towards costs associated with your training or professional development where financial hardship would otherwise prevent you from continuing.
Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the Welfare Fund criteria.
How do I apply?
To apply, please complete the Welfare Fund application form and submit any supporting information requested.
All applications are treated confidentially and are assessed fairly against the Welfare Fund criteria.
Please download a UPCA Welfare Fund form and return it to us completed at: administration@upca.org.uk with details of your circumstances for our consideration.
