UPCA members are invited to attend this interactive webinar exploring the ethical dimensions of money within therapeutic practice. As part of a wider focus on professional boundaries, the session addresses an area that can often feel challenging to navigate for both practitioners and clients.
The webinar will consider key aspects of financial practice, including fees, sliding scales, and cancellation policies, and how these can be approached in ways that are ethically grounded, transparent, and supportive of the therapeutic relationship. It also invites reflection on how financial boundaries contribute to practitioner wellbeing, professional integrity, and the sustainability of practice.
Led by Julie Stone, UKCP’s Independent Ethics Lead and Chair of the Ethics Committee, the session reframes conversations about money as an integral part of ethical and relational practice from the outset of therapeutic work.
This event offers an opportunity for members to reflect on their own approach to financial boundaries and to strengthen confidence in addressing money within clinical and professional contexts.
