Learning from Complaints

Understanding Complaints and Professional Conduct

Friday, 8 May 2026 | 10:00am – 1:00pm | Online

UPCA members are invited to attend this CPD event exploring the complexities of complaints within professional practice. The session offers insight into the factors that can give rise to complaints and the ways in which practitioners can work to uphold high standards of ethical and professional conduct.

Led by Brian Linfield, Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee, alongside the complaints and conduct team, the event will review key themes emerging from recent complaints. Through presentations and case-based discussion, participants will be supported to reflect on risk, responsibility, and good practice within their own work.

This session provides an opportunity to strengthen understanding of professional expectations, enhance reflective practice, and support the maintenance of safe and ethical standards across therapeutic settings.
