#Mockingbird Revisited: Where Are We Now in Therapy, Training, and Culture

This workshop reflects on five years since the publication of Intersections of Privilege and Otherness (2021), exploring how counselling and psychotherapy have engaged with issues of power, privilege, diversity, and otherness.

Participants will:

  • Consider changes in therapeutic practice, training, and institutional culture since the book’s publication

  • Reflect on ongoing challenges in relation to voice, belonging, and systemic power

  • Explore ethical and professional responsibilities in responding to difference within clinical and training contexts

The session is designed for counsellors, psychotherapists, supervisors, educators, trainers, and trainees, particularly those involved in curriculum design, professional leadership, or critical reflection on professional practice.
